Confidentiality

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy  www.bacp.co.uk  - ​certificate number ​31233 - and adhere to their ethical framework at all times.

 

​I am registered under the data protection act as a controller of sensitive data - registration number Z3618026. Any sensitive data includes our emails and chat transcripts and any notes I might make about our work together.

The only time that I would break confidentiality would be if I felt that you were at risk of harm, either to yourself or others, or if I was compelled by law to do so. I would never breach confidentiality without discussing this with you first.
